KENTWOOD, Mich. – A local store is excited about selling a ticket that won $1 million in Wednesday’s Powerball drawing.

The store that sold the ticket is East Paris Discount Liqour. “It’s very exciting to have sold the ticket here,” said Tania Azer, Store owner.

This isn’t the first time the store has sold a big winning ticket. Azer said, “At this location in 2002. There was a 17 million dollar mega millions winner and last month there was a $110,000 Fantasy Five Winner.”

Lottery ticket buyers have any rituals you notice they do when they come in?

Lottery ticket buyers are no stranger to ritual, Azer has noticed a few of them over the past few days leading to the Powerball drawing.

“Some customers want all their tickets. They’ll pay for like $10.00 in tickets and they want them all on separate tickets. They want easy picks and then the separate tickets. They’ll play their own numbers and there are, everyone has their own little ritual, but the majority of people play easy picks. They just have the machine pick the numbers,” said Azer
