WRIGHT TOWNSHIP, Mich. — A man driving southbound on 16th Avenue north of Marne suffered a medical episode around 7 a.m. As a result, his SUV hit a tree and rolled over south of Garfield Street.
Crews needed an “extended period of time” to get the man free of the vehicle, reported the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office. After being freed, the man was taken by Aero Med helicopter to Spectrum Butterworth Hospital.
The road was closed for about two hours.
