Access West Michigan has kicked off a community-wide initiative to raise funds for non-profits assisting families in poverty or facing food insecurity.

Walk For Good Food is an annual event, however due to the governor's stay at home order, the community is encouraged to walk on their own practicing social distancing.

Individuals can sign up or teams can sign up on the Walk website. A congregation, organization, or business can create a team together, but they will not physically walk together. Teams can still work together to meet a group fundraising goal.

Walkers and teams can share on social media via photos, live videos, and posts about their walk. Access will share walker’s stories and posts, and we can stay connected through #Walk4GoodFood2020.

The event will take place now though May 13.
