GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — A business in Grand Rapids would like to clear something up.
They're currently at the center of a debate over voter fraud. But their company has nothing to do with counting ballots or developing the hardware, or the software.
“We are Dominion Systems Inc. We are a modern payroll and HR company,” Jud Highhill with Dominion Systems said.
Dominion Systems is being confused with Dominion Voting, based out of Colorado. They've gotten dozens of messages to their website meant for Dominion Voting.
Dominion Voting is a company used in dozens of Michigan counties and is being targeted by the Trump Campaign for unsubstantiated allegations of inaccuracy.
“Without getting too specific, they’re accusing us of fraud. The general sentiment that’s flowing around the election,” Highhill said.
Jud Highhill with Dominion Systems says they've never had anything to do with government work at all.
“They are upset. And they’re letting us know that,” Highhill said.
Highhill says they're not upset they're a part of the confusion. They just want to set the record straight.
“Mainly I just want to clarify. Dominion systems, we do payroll and HR. We don’t have anything to do with the election, or any election at all,” Highhill said.
Dominion Systems has gotten threatening messages as a result of this. They say they've contacted the authorities. They've also gotten one apology from a frustrated caller they were able to track down. Highhill says most of the people leaving messages are doing so from fake accounts.
