Megan Viecelli joined the FOX 17 News team in May 2022 as a digital content producer. She also is excited to temporarily step behind the anchor desk on Saturday and Sunday evenings at 10 and 11 p.m. to fill in while Janice Allen is away on maternity leave.
Megan graduated from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor (go blue!) in May 2016 with a bachelor’s degree in communications.
She started her journalism career a few weeks later in northern Michigan with a CBS and FOX affiliate. During her time there, Megan was a news producer, sports reporter and anchor, and news anchor.
When Megan is not behind the anchor desk or pushing out digital content, you can probably find her spending time outdoors, whether she’s fishing, exploring beaches and trails, or forever learning how to golf and ski (all pointers are welcomed!). Megan also enjoys reading, cooking and spending time with family and friends.
Megan has always been outgoing and has great compassion for others. She is beyond excited to get to know and share the stories of people in our West Michigan communities.
If you have a story idea, a volunteer opportunity or would just like to say ‘hi,’ please do not hesitate to send an email to megan.viecelli@fox17online.com.
