KENTWOOD, Mich. – Students who go to East Kentwood High School early were evacuated for a short time Wednesday morning after a fire alarm.

The school’s principal, Omar Bakri, posted on Facebook that the fire alarm went off about 6:25am and students were sent to the Freshman Campus gym.  Fire crews responded and found a burned out pump on a water boiler.  Students were allowed back in the building by 7:20am.

School is continuing today as scheduled.
