Holland woman critically injured after jumping out of truck

HOLLAND, Mich. — Holland Police say a 49-year-old woman was critically injured Friday after jumping out of a truck.

According to a release, the incident happened at about 3:30 p.m. in the area of 40th Street and Pine Avenue.

Police say the woman was a passenger in her 67-year-old mother’s 1994 Chevy pick-up truck.

The two were heading eastbound on 40th when the truck’s brakes failed.  The woman then jumped out of the truck, according to a release.

The woman’s name was not released.  No other injuries were reported.
