GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — The popular Movies in the Park series begins June 3 with “The Wizard of Oz” on the big screen in Ah-Nab-Awen Park by the Grand River. Downtown Grand Rapids Inc. announced the movie line-up would include a movie chosen by the public to be shown in a series-ending double feature.

Here is the movie line-up for the fourth season of Movies in the Park:

June 3: “The Wizard of Oz” (Spanish subtitles)
June 17: “Men In Black” (English subtitles for hearing impaired)
July 8: “A League of Their Own” (Spanish subtitles)
July 22: “The Mask of Zorro” (English subtitles for hearing impaired)
August 5: “Edward Scissorhands” (Spanish subtitles)
August 19: Double feature with “Ferris Beuller’s Day Off” and a Voters’ Choice movie (English subtitles for hearing impaired)

Several features will be included in the series as experiments: subtitles for the hearing impaired and for Spanish speakers, efforts to make the series a zero waste event, and a partnership with the Coalition for Tobacco Free Parks.

All movies are free, and food vendors will be on site, but you can bring your own snacks, beer, and wine. Bring your own blankets and chairs.

Pre-movie entertainment begins at 7 p.m., and movies begin at dusk.
