BATTLE CREEK, Mich. – Calhoun County Community High School is honoring a former employee who was one of the victims of a mass shooting in Kalamazoo this past February.

Mary Jo Nye was one of six people killed in the shootings that happened on the night of February 20th.  Nye was a teacher at the school and is credited with having started the school library.  The school says they are collecting donations to buy more books and will also be naming the school library after her.
