KALAMAZOO, Mich. — Kalamazoo police released a surveillance photo of a man suspected of robbing a dollar store this past Christmas Eve.
The suspect is the man in the far right of the photo. Police say that he held the clerk at gunpoint during a robbery at the Family Dollar at 507 N. Park Street, that happened just before 9 p.m.
When officers arrived, they found that the suspect in the robbery went into the store manager’s office and robbed him at gunpoint. No shots were fired, but police say that the suspect hit the manager in the head with the gun several times. The manager was not seriously injured.
The suspect is described as a black male in his 30’s, approximately 6 feet tall and 230 pounds. He was reportedly wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, dark jeans and white shoes.
