OCEANA COUNTY, Mich. — A Ludington man was killed in a two-car crash in Weare Township on Saturday afternoon.

The preliminary investigation by troopers from the Michigan State Police Hart Post indicated that at 4:35 p.m. Saturday, William Charles Sielski, 34, of Ludington was in the process of making a left turn from the top of the north bound U.S. 31 exit ramp at Oceana Drive when his vehicle was struck by an eastbound vehicle containing two occupants.

Sielski was transported to Spectrum Lakeshore Hospital in Shelby where he was pronounced dead.

The two occupants in the second vehicle both sustained minor injuries.

All three were wearing seat belts at the time of the collision.

Troopers said alcohol and speed were not believed to be factors in the crash.

An MSP accident reconstructionist is assisting with the investigation.

Oceana County EMS and the Hart and Pentwater fire departments assisted troopers at the scene.
