One person killed following crash in Allegan County

HOPKINS TOWNSHIP, Mich. — One person was killed following a crash Wednesday evening.

It happened around 6:30 p.m. at the intersection of 130th Avenue and 22nd Street in Hopkins Township.

Officials with the Allegan County Sheriff’s Office said a female driving a car failed to stop at the intersection before crashing into a truck. The  male driver of the truck was ejected and suffered severe injuries, Police said he later died at the hospital.  The female driver of the other vehicle was treated at the scene for moderate injuries and was flown to a Grand Rapids hospital for treatment.

The crash remains under investigation.
