SIDNEY TWP., Mich. – School is out and now Montcalm Sheriff’s investigators are looking in to recent break-ins at a local elementary school.

Investigators believe that buildings at Central Montcalm Upper Elementary have been broken into over the last two weekends.

The first happened May 30th or 31st and involved a break-in to a storage shed on school property.  Some items were taken from the shed, but were found on other parts of the property.

The most recent break-in happened sometime between the end of school on Friday, June 5th and Sunday June 7th when the incident was discovered.  The suspects got into the school building, rode bicycles in the hallways, leaving marks on the floor.  They also ate food and stole two large teddy bears.

Anyone with information should call the Montcalm County Sheriff’s Department at 989-831-7590.
