GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — In a bracket tournament that is similar to that of the NCAA men’s basketball tournament, Founders Brewing Inc. has made it to the ‘national championship’ for Best Brewery in America, as decided by voters on Thrillist.com.
Founders has arguably faced some of the heaviest competition, having gone up against 3 Floyds and New Glarus, two highly-acclaimed breweries. But with multiple world-class beers that include the infamous KBS, the Grand Rapids-based Founders entered the tournament as a top five seed. Now, they are in the championship round against Four Peaks Brewing of Arizona.
