Roughly 8,200 without power in West Michigan Nov. 24; More outages expected

WEST MICHIGAN — At least 8,202 Consumers Energy customers in West Michigan are without power Monday.

A spokesperson for the company said more outages are expected in the area as high winds continue.  Wind gusts of 50 mph were already reported across West Michigan, including in Grand Rapids, Holland and Jamestown.

More 50 mph gusts could occur in Barry, Calhoun and Branch counties as well as along the lakeshore.  Consumers said power will likely be restored by midnight Tuesday.

Roughly 47,760 are still without power statewide.
