BELMONT, Mich. — It was so good, fans didn’t want the inaugural Meijer LPGA Classic to end and they almost got their wish.
After 72 holes, Mirim Lee and Inbee Park were tied at 14-under par, forcing a sudden-death playoff. After the two players each made par on the first playoff hole at hole No. 18, they each went to hole No. 17.
Lee birdied the 17th to win her first LPGA tournament. Park finished second. Suzann Pettersen finished third at 13-under par.
