Road projects: Old lane closures return

ZEELAND, Mich. — A number of projects this week are causing lane closures in locations where drivers have seen lane closures in the past, most notably I-196 Business Loop (I-196BL) between Zeeland and Holland:

I-196BL

  • Lane closures nightly 6 p.m. to 6 a.m.
  • Between I-196 and US-31
  • End 6 a.m. Monday, August 11

196BL at 120th Avenue/Waverly Avenue

  • Daytime lane closures at the intersection
  • End Thursday, August 7, 3 p.m.

Quincy Street just west of US-31

  • Closed for railroad crossing replacement
  • Began Friday, August 1
  • Estimated to last no longer than six days

Taylor Street just west of US-31

  • Closed for railroad crossing replacement
  • Began Friday, August 1
  • Estimated to last no longer than six days

M-37 at Sparta Avenue

  • Lane closures northbound and southbound
  • Sparta Avenue closed north of the intersection
  • Daily 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
  • End Wednesday, August 6

M-11 28th Street/Wilson Avenue

  • Lane closures at I-196
  • Daily 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
  • End Friday, August 8, 3 p.m.

I-96 Nunica

  • Eastbound lane closures under Apple Drive
  • Sign work on bridge
  • End Tuesday, August 5, 3 p.m.
