NEW YORK (May 10, 2014) – The 2014 NFL Draft is over without any local names being called — but that doesn’t mean they’ve missed their shot.
Grand Valley State All-American center Matt Armstrong and Ferris State All-GLIAC safety Marvin Robinson have both signed free agent deals with NFL teams.
Armstrong, who is the first Laker ever invited to the league’s pre-draft combine, has signed with the New Orleans Saints. Robinson, a Michigan transfer, has signed with the Dallas Cowboys.
Both players, as with all rookies, will report to their teams on Monday.
