KALAMAZOO, Mich. — The Kalamazoo Growlers have announced an agreement with Bell’s Brewery to make Bell’s the official craft beer provider of the franchise.

In pairing with the local brewery, the Growlers have announced a number of Bell-centric changes that will take place at Homer Stryker Field.

“We are thrilled to partner with a staple of the Kalamazoo community such as Bell’s,” said Growlers’ president Brian Colopy. “It’s another big piece to the puzzle in bringing our fans the best atmosphere possible at Growlers baseball games.”

Bell’s beers will be available at the ballpark for all 36 home games in the 2014 campaign. Tuesday home games will take on the theme of Craft Beer Night as fans will be able to buy beer at a discount. Additionally, Bell’s beer will be sold at half price for the duration of any inning in which the Growlers hit a home run.

Bell’s Brewery will be present outside the concession stand as well. The “Bell’s Bear Cave”, an indoor/outdoor suite, will be located down the right field line when the park opens for the season.

The Growlers, founded in 2013, play in the Northwoods League, a summer developmental league for college baseball players.  Over 115 Major League Baseball players have come through the Northwoods League including Detroit Tigers’ ace Max Scherzer and New York Mets outfielder Curtis Granderson.
