MECOSTA,Mich. — According to a news release Troopers from the Mt. Pleasant Post arrested 37-year-old Edward Mitchell, from Mecosta, MI on multiple counts of Criminal Sexual Conduct First Degree following a two-year investigation into the allegations.
On January 13th the 80th District Court of Clare County issued a multiple count Criminal Sexual Conduct warrant for Mitchell. On January 15th Mitchell was located by troopers in Mecosta, a short distance from his home and arrested him without incident.
Mitchell was lodged in the Clare County Jail. On January 16th the 80th District Court Magistrate set his bond at $300,000.
Mitchell remains in custody at the Clare County Jail.
