Consumer’s Energy Says It’s Ready For Scattered Outages Due To Winter Storm

Posted

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. –  The people without power in West Michigan in the frigid temps were kept to a minimum on Monday as the temperatures were in free fall.

Roughly 400 Consumer’s Energy customers were in the dark after the wind knocked out power to a neighborhood in Ada and Lowell according to a spokesperson for the company, Roger Morgenstern.

Morgenstern said the power was fully restored in about an hour thanks to the fast work of crews in the area.

During a winter event like this Morgenstern said repair crews are kept inside and only sent to handle emergency situations.

Morgenstern said the company does that so people who do lose power can rest assured that restoration is the company’s top priority.
