KALAMAZOO TOWNSHIP, Mich. — A woman has died as a result of her injuries, two days after being hit by a car on the business loop of I-94.
The original accident happened on November 11 at approximately 8:30 p.m. Police say a car that turned from Lake Street onto the southbound business loop of I-94 struck two pedestrians who were crossing the street. A 48-year-old woman suffered critical injuries and was taken to the hospital. According to an update from police, she passed away on November 13.
The other victim, described as a 30-year-old woman from Kalamazoo, suffered minor injuries.
Once the investigation into this accident is completed, the case will be handed over to prosecutors for review.
