BARRY COUNTY, Mich. — A 53-year-old man was charged Tuesday with drunk driving in connection with a fatal rollover crash on M-37 in Hastings.
Kip Morris, of Battle Creek, was charged with operating while intoxicated causing death and a third-offense OWI charge. He is currently being held in the Barry County jail on a $100,000 bond.
Deputies responded to the crash on M-37 near Sager Road at around 12:40 a.m. Tuesday morning. Martin Breitner, 52, of Hastings, was pronounced dead at the scene. He was a passenger in Morris’ truck.
No other vehicles were involved in the crash.
