THREE RIVERS, Mich. — A 12-year-old in Three Rivers claims a man tried to order her into his vanWednesday. Police have now released a sketch of that suspect.
The alleged abduction attempt happened at around 3 p.m. at the corner of Constantine and King, near where the girl got off the bus.
She told officials that the man drove up to her, asked her to get in the van and then started screaming profanity at her when she refused. She then ran away.
Police describe the suspect as a clean-shaven white man with black hair, possibly in his 40s. He was driving a boxy dark green minivan with rust. Anyone with information is asked to call them at 269-278-1235.
