Davenport Falls In NAIA National Championship Game 61-43

SIOUX CITY, Iowa — For the second time in three years, the Davenport women’s basketball team fell in the NAIA Division 2 national championship game.

The Indiana Wesleyan Wildcats outscored Davenport 27-7 in the final 11-and-a-half minutes and won 61-43 at the Tyson Events Center in Sioux City, Iowa on Tuesday night. Freshman Tiesha Stokes (Grand Rapids Catholic Central) led the Panthers with 12 points while senior Karli Harris added five points in her final game for Davenport.

Davenport lost to Northwestern College (Iowa) in the 2011 national championship game.
