ZEELAND, Mich — Compassionate Heart Ministry is more than $2,300 richer following Feel the Zeel of Giving.
It’s an annual event in Zeeland, and this season it happened the week of Dec. 10.
Zeeland’s first-ever Christmas tree adorned the area, and Santa was on hand to take photos. Santa Claus also brought two of his reindeer, Vixen and Dancer, to Heritage Square. A horse-drawn trolley took visitors around for $1 per person, and the money was given to Compassionate Heart Ministry.
The ministry also received money through retail donations and community support. Feel the Zeel of Giving “is a way for the local, downtown businesses to differentiate themselves from the malls this holiday season,” according to a press release. More than 15 businesses participated.
