Season Eight of 24 promises to combine the show's unique and trend-setting format with compelling new elements, including a new setting, new cast members and new threats. Each episode will again cover one hour of real time as viewers follow Jack Bauer through another astonishing day.
Set in New York City, "Day Eight" unfolds amidst the shadows of the Statue of Liberty and the United Nations. Jack Bauer is unwillingly drawn back into the intense action after learning of a plot to assassinate determined Middle Eastern peace-keeping leader OMAR HASSAN (Anil Kapoor) as he negotiates international security with President Taylor (Jones) and new chief of staff ROB WEISS (Chris Diamantopoulos). Meanwhile, RENEE WALKER (Annie Wersching) and CHLOE O'BRIAN (Mary Lynn Rajskub) return alongside CTU newcomers DANA WALSH (Katee Sackhoff), ARLO GLASS (John Boyd), BRIAN HASTINGS (Mykelti Williamson) and COLE ORTIZ (Freddie Prinze Jr.).
Disgraced former PRESIDENT CHARLES LOGAN (Gregory Itzin), who was last seen after he was shockingly stabbed by FIRST LADY MARTHA LOGAN (Jean Smart) in Season Six, makes an anticipated return this season when sitting President Taylor reluctantly enlists Logan to assist with an escalating international diplomatic crisis.
Created by Joel Surnow and Robert Cochran, 24 is a production of 20th Century Fox Television and Imagine Television in association with Teakwood Lane Productions. Howard Gordon, Evan Katz, David Fury, Manny Coto, Brannon Braga, Brad Turner, Alex Gansa, Kiefer Sutherland and Brian Grazer are executive producers, while Chip Johannessen and Patrick Harbinson serve as co-executive producers. Does Jack Bauer still have a place in this kinder, gentler, more open, less torture-prone administration?
I think it's awesome that Tony is playing both sides of the field. I've watched 24 from the first episode and i've watched the relationship between Tony and Jack. By the way, Jack is hot as the show!!! Can't wait for the next season.

Why did the tv sound mute when Jack and the Muslim were in the hospital as Jack was confessing when he thought he was about to die? Was this planned by the network or was it just a network error? Love 24, can't wait till next season.
