Women's Weekend Wraps up in Spring Lake

SPRING LAKE—
Lots of ladies who live along the Lakeshore got a real treat this weekend. The Holiday Inn Women's Expo and Women's Weekend wrapped up Sunday afternoon after a three-day run.

The event held in the Grand Ballroom of the Holiday Inn in Spring Lake. The Expo allowed women-related businesses to showcase what they have to offer. Vendors offered everything from food to cosmetics to clothing.

"It's the first time that we've done it, and the response has been great," organizer Jody Sprite told FOX 17 News. "We have people from all over, people who heard about us on Facebook, people that heard about us in email blasts, people that are in house."

Those who attended also had a chance to donate items to "Every Woman's Place" in Muskegon, a crisis center for women in need. Organizers already plan to hold another Expo next January.
