Duck season is open for two days beginning Saturday. Canada goose season runs through Jan. 31. The state says in a release thatthe late goose season helps reduce the birds' numbers.

Daily limits for ducks are the same as during regular hunting seasons. The daily limit for Canada geese is five with a possession limit of 10 except in Goose Management Units.

There is a two Canada geese daily limit, with four in possession, in the Saginaw County and Tuscola-Huron Goose Management Units through Jan. 31 and Allegan County through Jan. 17.
