Suspects Arrested in Kentwood Vandalism

Four people ranging in age from 18 to 20 years have been arrested by Kentwood police in the weekend vandalism of more than 50 vehicles.

One suspect was arrested on Monday. Then police obtained a search warrant and recovered more than 100 items believed to have been taken from the vehicles. The search was executed in the 700 block of Lake Drive SE. During the search, two people were arrested.

A fourth suspect was arrested on the northeast side of Grand Rapids on Tuesday.

The suspects were scheduled for arraignment Wednesday:

• Ian Matthew Guiles, 18
• Edward Allan Dutkiewicz, 18
• Catherine Lee Kneibel, 18
• John Joseph Yowaish, 20

The vehicles were left with slashed tires and smashed-out windows in the Bailey's Grove Neighborhood, near the corner of 60th Street and East Paris Avenue. Some even had swastikas keyed into the paint.

Tuesday, 'Real Pro Auto' announced the company will replace tires at cost for the victims.
