Passenger Is Hurt In Big Rapids Crash
BIG RAPIDS - A person was injured and two cars sustained heavy damage during a Friday night accident in Big Rapids.

According to the Big Rapids Department of Public Safety, Cheryl Hunter, 48, of Evart was attempting to turn from westbound Bridge Street onto southbound North State Street at 9:15 p.m. when she pulled into the path of a vehicle driven by Roger Brenner, 49, of Grant that was northbound on State and the two collided.

A passenger in one of the vehicles complained of neck pain and was transported to the Mecosta County Medical Center. Police said both vehicles sustained substantial damage.

Hunter was cited for causing the collision.

Big Rapids City Rescue and Alpha 1 assisted at the scene.
