HUDSONVILLE—
Two brothers from Hudsonville will get a very unique opportunity Sunday at the Sprint Cup "Carfax 400".19-year-old Jordan Vanderstel and his 14-year-old brother Jacob will serve as grand marshals for the race at Michigan International Speedway.
The two boys, who live in Hudsonville, have muscular dystrophy.
This is the first time the two will go to a race. Last June, they got their first taste of what Nascar is all about.
"We met these nurses and they set up this Nascar thing," said Jordan Vanderstel. "We met this guy from Carfax and he wanted to invite us back because he was so taken with us, he liked us."
The brothers say they'll have a chance to go into the pits, the garage, and get a free meal out of the deal.
The boys join a list of celebrity grand marshals like Kid Rock and Adam Sandler.
Jacob is a Jeff Gordon fan, but his brother Jordan like Jimmie Johnson.
