VAN BUREN COUNTY -
A Van Buren County motorcycle crash killed a 64-year-old South Haven area man early today.
Charles Winford Hinton died when he lost control of his 2003 Yamaha Road Star on a sharp curve on 46th Street near County Road 384 in Columbia Township at approximately 3 a.m. The Van Buren County Sheriff's Department said alcohol and excesssive speed were believed to be contributing factors in the accident.
Hinton was pronounced dead at the scene. The incident remains under investigation by the Van Buren County Sheriff's Department.
