Grand Rapids - It's been in the works for years now, but soon, construction at the new MSU Medical School downtown will be completed. New med students are expected to fill the school in the summer of 2010.

Tuesday nnight, the school' held a big event to help raise money for scholarships, equipment and research.

The new building is called the Secchia Center, named after prominent MSU alum and local businessman Peter Secchia. The seven story building cost $90 million dollars to build.
