KALAMAZOO -
.
An undercover operation late last night in the city of Kalamazoo led to the arrest of a known drug dealer in the Vine Neighborhood.
At around 11:00 p.m.; K-VET waited for a transaction to take place for the illegal sale of a .38 five shot revolver pictured above. After the sale was made, officers made their way towards the suspect in the 300 block of W. Dutton Street.
Officers found the suspect counting money from the transaction while heading down a flight of stairs. The suspect, Kosygin Dobryan McNeely, 24, resisted arrest but was promptly taken into custody and lodged at the county jail.
A multi-count felony warrant was issued and served for McNeely today, including charges for Carrying a Concealed Weapon, Felon in Possession of a Firearm, and Resisting and Obstructing Police. Bond has been set at $25,000.
K-VET officials say McNeely is no stranger to law enforcement. He is a convicted felon, and has two other felony cases pending from the Vine Neighborhood on separate dates including Possession of Crack Cocaine and Delivery of Crack Cocaine.
Anyone with information regarding illegal drug activity is encouraged to contact KVET at 269-337-8880.
