An elaborate internet police sting in Kent County last October led to nearly two dozen arrests; one of them being former Cedar Springs junior varsity soccer coach Eric Wesche.
Wesche was one of several suspects that showed up to a decoy home in Grand Rapids Township intending to have sex with an underage girl he'd met in a chatroom on the internet.
What Wesche and the other suspects didn't know was they had been chatting with adult volunteers with Perverted Justice.
Wesche pled guilty for the crime, and was sentenced to six months in jail, followed by six months on tether. He'll also have to register as a sex offender.
