KEY WEST, Fla—
A man sought by police since Thursday for failing to return his children in a scheduled custody exchange was found in Florida Sunday. The children were with him and okay.
The case was treated by the Mason County Sheriff's Department as a kidnapping, and Mark Allen McCallum, 52, is being questioned by police.
Detectives got information that said McCallum could be found at one of several Key West motels over the weekend.
The children, Douglas McCallum, 4, and his sister Shelby, 2, were with McCallum when he was located in Key West.
Investigators determined that McCallum stole a vehicle in Mason County and drove to Florida with the children. He was arrested with no incident.
