CASCADE TOWNSHIP - Two condominiums were destroyed and a third was damaged during an overnight fire at the Forest Hills Condominiums.

Cascade Township firefighters responded to a report of smoke in the area of the condos, located at 6263 Architrave St. SE, at about midnight. The fire started in an attic area and destroyed two of the units while a third sustained smoke and water damage.

The cause remains unknown at this time.

Firefighters from Ada, Caledonia and Kentwood assisted at the scene, which was cleared at about 6 a.m.

This marked the second fire in six months at the complex. Four condos were damaged when a car fire spread to the buildings in December.
