Sheriff's Office Is Trying To Figure Out Rollover That Injured Area Man
The Calhoun County Sheriff's Office is investigating a one-car rollover that sent a Union City man to the hospital early Sunday.

According to Sgt. Brandy Edmonds, at 12:34 a.m. deputies responded to a report of a one-vehicle accident with injuries on 9 1/2 Mile Road just south of Q Drive South. Upon arriving they found that the driver -- a 20-year-old man from Union City -- had been thrown from the car.

He was transported to Bronson Hospital in Kalamazoo where he currently is listed in stable condition.

Deputies said alcohol, excessive speed and failure to use a seat belt all appeared to be contributing factors in the accident, which remains under investigation by the Calhoun County Sheriff's Accident Reconstruction Team.

The Burlington Fire Department and Marshall Ambulance assisted at the scene.
