A group of bikers are coming together to help out America's veterans. They're getting ready to host a Bike Fest in Coopersville. It's all to help raise money for the Grand Rapids Home for Veterans.

"Our veterans are a special group of people. Some of them gave so much for our freedoms and we just have to support em. We can't forget them," said Mike Burri, from Friends of Michigan Veterans Homes.

Their expecting at least 10,000 people for the second Bike Fest on the Grand. It'll be held at at the Conestoga Campground in Coopersville. The campground will be transformed from a quiet spot to a 2-day party. Complete with a bike show and poker run.

"It goes to a good cause. It makes me feel good that i'm doing anything. I've never been a veteran but I'm proud to donate when I can," said Paul Wesley, attending Bike Fest

Funds will be used to install a closed circuit television system for the Grand Rapids Home for Veterans.

"We want to do live feeds from the grotto area, the all american grill area, we just completed. So the guys can see what's going on who can't leave their room," said Burri.

Bike Fest starts Friday and ends Saturday night. The veterans home is just one of three organizations that will receive funds from Bike Fest.
