GRAND RAPIDS - Thunderstorms poured through Grand Rapids and the entire FOX 17 viewing area this evening, sending area emergency officials responding.

Right now area emergency responders are answering many calls for reports of flooding, traffic lights out, wires down, lightning strikes, fires and fire alarms in addition to lots of trees and branches down around the area -- particularly in the areas of Grand Rapids, Grandville and Wyoming.

A number of flooded roadways are hindering traffic and/or have been closed in the Grand Rapids area.
