SOUTH HAVEN -
Dozens of people waited in long lines Monday morning for a part in a big Hollywood movie being filmed in South Haven.
Scenes for "What's Wrong With Virginia" starring Ed Harris and Jennifer Connelly were filmed all day on the beach. Potential extras from all over West Michigan waited around in the cold and rain to get their chance.
"I showed up this morning, went to the extras tent, and they said they needed people in beach clothes or a suit," said Frank Lawson who landed a spot as an extra. "I said it will be a little warmer in a suit, so I came in suit."
The film is being shot at locations throughout West Michigan. Holland-based TicTock Studios is producing the film. The crew took over the beach for hours to film a political rally scene.
Dozens of locals including the Saugatuck High School marching band were selected to be part of it. "There were a whole bunch of people, and they wanted us to be in the movie, and we got it," said 14-year old tuba player Ian Shanahan.
