What do you think of FOX 17's News in HD and new set?
WEST MICHIGAN -
FOX 17 has a new logo, a new set, and new graphics...and they're all in high definition!
On April 20th FOX 17 launched HD local news. What does that mean to you? You now have the ability to get your local news, in a wide-screen format, with the same improved sound and picture quality you're accustomed to seeing when you watch your favorite sports and entertainment programming in HD on television networks and national cable stations. The good news is; you'll see the difference even if you don't have an HD television set.
We've been working on this transition since the end of 2008. Our engineers have replaced virtually every piece of equipment we use to bring you your local news. From a state-of-the-art control room, to the absolute latest in high-definition digital cameras, everything has been upgraded so that we can deliver the absolute clearest images and sounds possible.
Check out the photo gallery and news story to get a behind the scenes look at what it took to make this transition happen. Also, make sure to stop by the message board to tell us what you think. Just for kicks, we've even posted the first FOX 17 NEWS AT TEN broadcastÂ…so you can see how far we've come.
Of course, even though we've updated the way we present the news, we haven't changed our approach to local news coverage. You can still expect to see the same no-nonsense, hype-free approach, from the same FOX 17 reporters and anchors you've come to trust over the years.
So make sure to check out the new FOX 17 Morning News, weekdays from 5A-9A, and the new FOX 17 NEWS AT TEN to see every story, in every newscast, in HD!
